In terms of size, North Carolina is the 28th most extensive state in the united states. Interestingly, North Carolina is made up of 100 counties. 

While in the past, North Carolina's economy relied extensively in tobacco, fabric for clothing, and furniture, a new ball game is now in circulation. Today, North Carolina has a more diversified economy that covers energy, biotechnology, and finance.
